High specification single synth Midi to CV Converter

High specification single synth MIDI to CV converter

The latest in our popular Pro Solo line of converters, the Pro Solo mk3 features a number of improvements over its predecessor; including 3 continuously variable auxiliary outputs, a built-in ADSR envelope generator, the ability to smooth out steppy MIDI CCs and more.

The Pro Solo mk3 is highly configurable and is the ideal converter for anyone looking to incorporate an analogue synthesizer, vintage or otherwise, into their MIDI setup. The CV output can operate at 1V/Oct, Hz/Volt or 1.2V/Oct. The scaling and tuning are adjustable, to accommodate any unruly synths. The Gate output can work at several different voltage levels, and can also be set to work a S-trig instead.

The three continuously variable auxiliary outputs are presented on 3.5mm jack sockets; and can be configured to respond to MIDI CCs, velocity, aftertouch, clock and more. In addition to this, the MIDI OUT port can be switched to output Sync24, so your vintage Roland equipment can join in as well.

All leads are sold separately as we do not know what you want to connect to.

What’s new or different about the Mk3?

• Aux 2 & Aux 3 are now continuously variable analogue outputs and are presented on 3.5mm jack sockets
• Expanded selection of Controllers available for the Aux outputs
• The Aux outputs now have adjustable slew rate (rise/fall time) to enable you to smooth out any controller jumps
• Built-in ADSR envelope generator (the controls for which can be assigned to MIDI CCs)
• Drum Trigger mode – Aux outputs can be set to produce a velocity-variable trigger pulse for drum synths, each with its own dedicated trigger note
• Dual clock dividers, which can be used simultaneously on different outputs, including the DIN socket when not used as MIDI out
• Variable gate-off time for re-trigger (multiple trigger)
• 32 program memories which can store and recall setups
• MIDI Program Changes can be used to recall setups
• Pre-loaded setups for many of the most popular synths
• Pitch bend range increased to 48 notes up & down
• Flash upgradable using SysEx when updates become available
• 32 bit ARM processor
• Brushed aluminum case with black text

• Designed to control all types of mono-synth
• Super-fast response time
• CV and Aux1 outputs use high specification 16 bit D/A converters for rock-steady pitches
• Gate / S-trig output configurable output to match virtually any synth
• Aux2 & Aux3 outputs are on-off only (zero or 5V)
• Dedicated DIN socket output for Sync24
• CV/Gate/Aux1,2,3 outputs on 3.5mm jack sockets (3.5mm to 1/4" cables are available in our cables section)
• Any MIDI channel can be selected
• Switchable for V/oct & Hz/V & 1.2V/oct scaling systems
• Fine tune & scale are software controllable
• Transpose (coarse tune) - up & down 12 semitones
• Adjustable pitchbend range
• Programmable Gate V-trig (up to 15v) or S-trig (with or without pull-up)
• Multiple and single trigger modes - adjustable re-trigger time
• Note priority selection - newest / lowest / highest
• Old notes are remembered to facilitate trill effects and increase playability
• Portamento - fixed rate or fixed time modes
• Auto Portamento mode selectable (where legato playing turns on Portamento)
• Portamento Controller is selectable
• Programmable Auxilary outputs controllable by any MIDI controller
• Programmable LFO - 9 wave shapes inc. random
• LFO can modulate pitch &/or AUX output
• Separate Controllers for LFO to CV and LFO to AUX
• LFO can be synchronised to MIDI clock
• LFO sync point can be selected
• Key-on can reset LFO
• Aux3 output can output clock - Aux2 can output stop-start
• Clock output can select from 1 to 12, 24, or 48 clocks per quarter note
• All parameters are controllable in real-time by SysEx
• Set-ups are stored in non-volatile memory for easy recall
• 40 memory locations for store / load
• MIDI monitor mode - for easy MIDI troubleshooting
• USB powered
• Size 130mm x 97mm x 40mm
• Suitable for use with XP / Vista / MAC OS-X v10.2 onwards / Linux
