Shipping
Following order processing and payment verification, orders are normally shipped out within one to two business days (unless the store is closed for a brief break), and usually within just a few hours if placed during normal business hours, in the order they are received and will be delivered only when Control Voltage receives the complete and verified payment for the items ordered, including any applicable additional shipping fees. In the rare event the store is closed for a brief break a confirmation email will be sent out detailing the exact day the the order will ship.
A notification will be sent to your email once your order has been processed, verified, packed, weighed and one of our associates has made your order’s shipping label which was accepted by the carrier. Keep in mind that it may take 1 to 2 business days for the tracking pages' information to become available and start showing acceptance and status updates from the shipping carrier. Please note that while USPS does estimate arrival times, they do not guarantee a delivery time, if your order is a rush or requires special attention we recommend getting in touch immediately to go over the options.
For international customers: We offer DHL Express Worldwide and USPS First Class International, Priority Mail International and Priority Mail Express International. Please note: it is illegal in the United States to falsely declare the value of goods on the customs forms, this is a criminal offense and we politely refuse to break the law. Buyer agrees that the actual value of their order will be listed in full on the customs forms. Control Voltage does not include VAT with any pricing, nor do we pay import duties or import taxes all of these will be the responsibility of the buyer. We do not ship to 3rd-party logistics firms or re-shipping companies, orders such as these will be cancelled and the charges will be refunded. PLEASE NOTE: USPS First Class International is the slowest and cheapest shipping method possible, which is 1) non-trackable and comes with no insurance, 2) has no set delivery time and may take over a month to arrive, 3) not eligible for claims against lost parcels.
By default unless customer states a preference otherwise, all orders shipped are subject to requiring a signature for delivery, which serves as an extra layer of security for all parties that the item(s) won't be left outside your location, subjected to weather, theft or any other unfortunate circumstances that would prevent the successful receipt of your order. If you wish to have your item(s) delivered without a signature required and want to accept full responsibility for damaged, lost or stolen packages, as well as any and every thing that happens after your order is in the possession of the shipper - include a note in the comments when checking out that you authorize the delivery to be left at your location without a signature. Conversely if you need to have a signature required include a note in the comments when checking out requesting the signature required service. If customer does not request a signature requirement on shipment(s) or order(s), Control Voltage will not be held responsible for lost or stolen shipments.
Customer agrees not to "refuse" any delivery of any item or order from Control Voltage as refused shipments can take weeks/months to return to the sender. Customer understands refused orders will only be refunded when the order is received back at Control Voltage, tested and inspected. If item(s) received is not what was ordered, customer understands a refund will only be issued, or the correct item(s) will be shipped, upon Control Voltage receiving the incorrectly-shipped item(s).
Orders where the customer pays for shipping come with a maximum of up to $1,500 insurance, if you require insurance in excess of $1,500 - please get in touch to discuss available options. In the rare event that your order never arrives, there's a 15-day waiting period after the estimated date of delivery until USPS’s lost parcel claims cases are processed and therefore refunds and credit will not be issued until shipping carrier insurance claims cases are closed. Customer acknowledges notification of lost or missing items must be received within 30 days from the order date.
Expedited Domestic Shipping: If your order is a rush or requires special attention please email us immediately to go over the options. The cutoff time for USPS Express orders to ship on same day as the order is placed is 11:00am PST, Tuesday-Saturday. Since USPS doesn’t do pickups on Sunday and our shop is closed on Mondays, orders placed after 11am PST Saturday may not be shipped until the following Tuesday. You will still receive a notification and tracking number during this time as soon as the order is packed.
We offer in-store pickup for those who wish to check out online and complete their order in-person; PLEASE NOTE: the actual credit card owner or Paypal account holder will need to be present and will need to show their government-issued photo identification and the original credit card used for payment for verification.
Standard Shipping - Free Over $75 Promotion
Standard shipping (1-6 days) applies to orders subtotaling $75 or more being shipped to valid US shipping addresses, and is in effect until the end of the promotion period (the date of which is currently to be determined). Qualifying Standard Shipping orders 1lb and under will be shipped via USPS's Ground Advantage (which combines their previously named First Class & Parcel Select Ground services) or USPS Priority and may or may not require signature for delivery, orders over 1lb may be shipped via USPS Priority or Ground Advantage, UPS Ground or FedEx Ground or a similar service and may or may not require signature for delivery. Standard Shipping orders shipped may provide up to $100 insurance. If you require additional insurance - please get in touch to discuss available options. In most cases Standard Shipping orders are packed and shipped with the same promptness as paid shipping orders and you will receive a tracking number as soon as the label is created. Please note that USPS does not guarantee delivery dates and or times, if your order is a rush or requires special attention we recommend getting in touch immediately to go over the paid shipping options. Some extremely large and or heavy products are not eligible for free shipping, contact us prior to placing your order if you have any questions.
Return Policy
Please read the Return Policy in it’s entirety.
If purchase was made online, e-mail [email protected] to initiate an exchange or return. An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) must be obtained by Control Voltage prior to mailing any items in for exchange, repair, return or replacement. Buyer pays all shipping and handling back to Control Voltage. If purchase was made in-store simply bring the item back with your original receipt. Refunds are issued in the payment type of Control Voltage's choosing.
NEW, unused and unopened items in perfectly pristine brand new condition, still in original packaging with all original contents intact and untouched receive 100% store credit or refund if the return is initiated within 14 days of the purchase date and the item(s) is/are received back to Control Voltage within 30 days of the purchase date.
OPENED NEW items may be returned at 90% of the purchase price in store credit towards another purchase or 80% of the purchase price refunded if return is initiated within 14 days of the purchase date and the item(s) is/are received back to Control Voltage within 30 days of the purchase date. All original packaging and contents must be intact and in like-new condition. Any items not in like-new condition or with signs of mishandling may be ineligible for return.
USED, VINTAGE, OPEN-BOX, DEMO UNIT, REFURBISHED or CUSTOMER RETURN items are not eligible for exchange or return, thoroughly tested prior to sale and guaranteed for 48 hours after purchase date not to be Dead On Arrival. If a defect or failure occurs within 48 hours we have a money-back guarantee that specifically excludes repairs and replacements.
SPECIAL ORDER or CUSTOM ORDER items are not eligible for exchange or return.
KITS and DIY ITEMS are not eligible for returns.
GARMENTS, TEXTILES, PATCH CABLES, CABLE ADAPTERS, MICROPHONES and HEADPHONES are not eligible for exchanges or returns.
Defect Policy
Defective new items may be replaced or refunded if item is returned to Control Voltage within 30 days of purchase or as printed on the receipt. Buyer pays all shipping and handling back to Control Voltage. The defect or failure will have to be verified before the refund or credit will be issued. Unique variations in wood grain, wood pattern and or color is to be expected on handmade instruments that are made with wood and will not be considered defective based on appearance. Control Voltage reserves the right to require certain items be returned directly to the manufacturer. After 30 days, we're happy to assist in any way we can but we ask that you also contact the manufacturer for support, replacement or repair.
